With Attacks on Trump, the Left Seeks to Make Patriots Second-Class Citizens

While subtle in their stealth strategy to take over America’s institutions, the Left has been anything but subtle in their recent moves to consolidate power.  Their agents have procured no fewer than four criminal indictments of their main antagonist, President Donald Trump.  Free speech remains suppressed in academia and elsewhere, all the better to indoctrinate the next generation of leaders in universities that have become simple factories of leftism.  The most recent, shocking aggression was the summary confiscation of President Trump’s corporate empire by a New York judge, who revoked his business licenses and moved to dissolve the Trump Organization without even honoring the former president’s right to a trial by jury.

Trump himself captured the situation powerfully in a social-media post earlier in the week.  In asking the GOP Congress to use the tools they have—the power of the purse—to shut down financing of the federal prosecutorial lawfare against him, he noted the dire circumstances.  He saw this political Hail Mary as the “last chance to defund these political prosecutions against me and other Patriots,” adding, astutely, that Biden’s “weaponized government” now “treats half the Country as Enemies of the State.”

That is the situation in a nutshell.  We have the moneyed, college-credentialed, professional class carrying the banner of leftism, seeking to subdue and permanently subordinate the Trump-voting half of the nation.  The Left holds the upper hand because they have spent the last half century assiduously and cleverly taking over higher education, then pumping out college graduates with greater economic prospects and societal power than the Right could gain.  There is further political sifting taking place, as college-educated white women increasingly abandon the Republican Party while non-college-educated minorities (especially men) are joining the GOP and MAGA in greater numbers.

Yet none of the positive trends ultimately matter if the Left can continue to abuse their ill-gotten powers to keep down the half of the nation they despise.

Defending Our Freedom and Equality

How do we throw off and crush these chains?  For all the commentary about the presidential campaign and the fleeting issues of the day, few observers have offered practical roadmaps to ultimate victory. They are needed. Here is one.

Three basic strategies are essential:

1.  Elections. Yes, there was chicanery aplenty during the last election cycle by a self-described “cabal” of leftists.  We can expect more this time.  If they want our vote and the elective positions they seek, our leaders must figure out a way to overcome this without resorting to becoming RINOs.

Despite all the artifice and unfairness we face, voting still makes a difference.  Not everywhere and not in every election.  But it matters in enough places that we must keep trying.

2.  Fortress Strategy. As I’ve written before, a fortress strategy means identifying places in this country where patriots still dominate politically and, to some degree, culturally, and resolve that this we will defend.  These are typically red states, counties or communities.

We build up these strongholds in various ways.  We move there.  We invest there.  We clean up the schools there.  We push through real reform in the universities, legal system and other institutions.  And then, over time, we push out and take more ground.

3. Win back the culture.  This is the hardest challenge.  Winning back the culture will take time, much more than a mere election cycle or two.  We must create our own films, music, and other aspects of the arts and education needed to compete with the Left.

The Left taunts us every day and reminds us of the gravity of our situation. They attack with impunity President Trump’s liberty and property, waving around his mugshot, and otherwise sending unmistakable, vicious notice of their intentions to those who dare oppose them.  The hour is upon us; there is no time to lose. A bold and unmistakable trumpet calls us to stand our ground and push back—before it is finally too late.
