Almost a year before voting starts, we hear descriptions of the upcoming GOP presidential campaign as a “circus.” These depictions are at once trite, unavoidable and archaic, since the circus is now basically extinct. The one big-top element to it all is the dynamic of each candidate barking for attention on the supreme issue among Republican voters: illegal immigration and border security.
I'm a retired lawyer, spent 30yrs more or less working for government. Started as a Fla Bar disciplinary prosecutor, and it went downhill from there. Guess I just wasn't a good fit.
I grew to manhood in Wyoming, was a horsepacker, a cowboy, and a crane operator for the UPRR Wyoming Division, worked solo. IMPO, the number one characteristic of today's Americans is complacency - that's a polite way of saying we are doomed as a nation. To turn things around (this is opinion) we are lacking three essential things: 1) Leadership, which is absolutely necessary, but vacant at present; 2) Color of Law, probably to be provided by county sheriffs; 3) Logistical support, not my field, but obvious beyond description. The Hebrew Bible says, "Murderers shall be killed." The Christian Bible implies - doesn't exactly say - that soldiers are not murderers. Both bibles are in full force at the same time. The Leftists are smart and organized. We are not going to get our country back without fighting for it. Might as well get ready.. That's how it looks to an old cowboy and horse trainer. Thanks for listening.
I second what Mr. Roberts said about you - we do indeed need you and as many other voices just like yours in this fight. Another thing we need to do is wake up the Democratic voters to what they have been/are being led into. How ridiculous do the liberal stances have to become before those voters stop standing up for them?
